Please note: we cannot offer you cover under Cancellation or Curtailment Charges, Emergency Medical & Other Expenses, Hospital Inconvenience Benefit and Personal Accident if when you buy Diabetic Travel Insurance you (or any other person to be insured):

  • are on a waiting list or are awaiting investigations, test results or inpatient hospital treatment
  • have received a terminal prognosis
  • have knowledge of the need for surgery, inpatient treatment or investigations
  • are travelling specifically for surgery or treatment
  • are aware of a medical condition but have not received a diagnosis
  • are travelling against any health requirements stipulated by your transport provider

This applies to all people to be insured on this policy

1. In respect of Diabetes only, have you been admitted to hospital as an inpatient in the last 6 months or do you have any additional medical conditions or complications other than high blood pressure/hypertension, high cholesterol, neuropathy (nerve damage) or retinopathy (eye damage)?

2. Within the last 2 years, have you, for any Medical Condition, been treated as a hospital inpatient or been referred to, or in the care of, a specialist consultant?

3. Within the last 5 years, have you been treated for a breathing condition (including asthma, but only where you have required hospital admission or supplementary oxygen), a heart related condition (including angina), a renal/kidney or liver related condition, a circulatory condition (other than high blood pressure/hypertension and high cholesterol)?

4. Within the last 5 years, have you been diagnosed or treated for a malignant condition (e.g. cancer)?
